What are Garden Clogs?
Most people know what clogs are. They’re a shoe that has a wooden sole, and a ton of comfort. Basically, garden clogs are clogs that you can wear in the garden. These are tough and durable shoes, but with all of the comfort and protection that you would expect from a clog. Depending on how big your garden is and what the terrain is like, you might want to look at the tread on the bottom of the sole in addition to the exterior just to make sure that you are getting what you need. Luckily, most garden clogs take this into account.
Which Clogs are Best?
If you’re going to be out in the garden all day, you want a shoe that won’t get ruined. The thick wooden sole of a clog is perfect for the dirt, but you will want to stay away from higher end clogs with an upper made from leather, suede, of even most knit or woven tops. You want something that can get wet and dirty, and not be unwearable a few weeks later. We recommend waterproof clogs for the garden, or even a plastic or rubber upper. Many synthetics work very well for this, too. They are often more breathable, as well. Really, it comes down to a matter of personal taste, just think ahead so you aren’t buying a new pair of clogs, and then ruining them soon after.
